ABSTRACT
In this chapter we present several data sets with brief descriptions, pre liminary analysis, and suggestions for further work. Many additional data sets are illustrated without comment. They show the diversity of subject areas where time series arise, from medicine to astronomy, geology to fi nance, water quality to commerce, speech therapy to agriculture, biology to travel, and many more. All o f the data sets are included on the BATS program diskette.
