ABSTRACT
A b s t r a c t With the present day requirements f o r a h i g h l y durable concrete of i n c r e d i b l e t a l e n t s from the moment i t s components merge, there are s p e c i f i c c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s i t has to have and d e f i n i t e "requirements" with which i t must meet. Off-hand, these are : w o r k a b i l i t y , p l a c e a b i l i t y , cohesiveness and slump r e t e n t i o n , i n the f r e s h s t a t e ; and u l t i m a t e i n t e g r i t y , or d u r a b i l i t y , i n the hardened s t a t e .
