ABSTRACT
Geomembranes are subjected to various stress originated by the environment. The surrounding environment can be namely characterized by physical, chemical and b i o l o g i c a l parameters. These l a t t e r s are not f u l l y independant one from each other and i n t e r e l a t i o n s do e x i s t . Synergies may occur f o r the a c t i v a t i o n or passivation of the reactions.
