ABSTRACT
A b s t r a c t The "Red e s p a i i o l a de L a b o r a t o r i e s de Ensayo", RELE, was c r e a t e d on August the 5 t h , 1986 under the a u s p i c e s o f the M i n i s t r y o f I n d u s t r y and Energy. I t was o r g a n i z e d as a n o n - l u c r a t i v e p r i v a t e o r g a n i z a t i o n w h i c h o p e r a t e s t h r o u g h o u t S p a i n and i t i s open t o any l a b o r a t o r y w h i c h o b s e r v e s the p r a c t i c e s and p r o c e d u r e s e s t a b l i s h e d by the 45000 S e r i e s European Norms. RELE has as main o b j e c t i v e s : a) t o promote the a c c r e d i t a t i o n o f t e s t i n g l a b o r a t o r i e s i n accordance w i t h the i n t e r n a t i o n a l l y r e c o g n i z e d c r i t e r i a , b) t o c o n t r i b u t e t o ensure a q u a l i t y s e r v i c e i n l a b o r a t o r i e s and c) t o co o p e r a t e w i t h i n t e r n a t i o n a l b o d i e s t h a t seek s i m i l a r o b j e c t i v e s . I n o r d e r t o a c h i e v e t h e s e o b j e c t i v e s , RELE i s s t r u c t u r e d a l o n g the f o l l o w i n g l i n e s : a G e n e r a l Assembly, the Head C o u n c i l , the Board, the S e c t o r i a l Committees ( f i v e a t p r e s e n t : C o n s t r u c t i o n , Mechanics, C h e m i s t r y , E l e c t r i c a l and E l e c t r o n i c s ) , a G e n e r a l S e c r e t a r i a t and a bank o f T e c h n i c a l E v a l u a t o r s .
