ABSTRACT
Geographic information systems are becoming valuable tools for law enforcement agencies. Their use, however, has been mainly restricted to crime analysis. Using information from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, North Carolina Police Department, this research discusses using GIS for assessing and visualising hazardous space for police work.
