ABSTRACT
The standard MR fluid polishing composition is effective at removing mass from a variety o f optical glasses, phosphate laser glasses, single and poly crystalline materials, plastics and metals. Enhancements to removal rates can be realized with the addition of alternative abrasives to the MR fluid, for example, nanodiamonds (Jacobs, 1996).
