Abstract.Thispaperdealswithstreamingcurrentgeneratedbywaterflowthrough4 geologicalporousmedia.Theseexperimentalmeasurementsandatheoreticalmodel allowtodeterminethespacechargedensityPwatthewallinthese4casesandto comparethesevaluestopreviousonesobtainedwithglasscapillariesandglass poroussamples.TheresultsshowthatPwiseffectivelytheintrinsicparameterofthe solid-liquidinterfacebecauseitisnotfunctionofthegeometryofthefluidflow pathsbutitonlydependsonthephysico-chemicalpropertiesofthesolidandthe liquid.
