ABSTRACT
Abstract. Lorentz microscopy can be used to measure the induction distributions in magnetic thin film systems. By using a micromagnetic simulation package it is possible to calculate the form of Lorentz microscopy images. In doing so it is apparent that great care must be taken in interpreting experimental images if quantitative information on the magnetisation and induction distributions is to be extracted.
