ABSTRACT
Influence of alkalis on the tungsten-bromine cycle in the high pressure mercury lamp is described
here, based on the chemical equilibrium approach and some experiments. The lamp life of
10,000hours is accomplished with higher pure quartz glass of envelopes in our examinations.
