High-intensity light sources using high-pressure molecular radiators discharged by circularly polarized microwaves

The experimental arrangement is described elsewhere [4]. Briefly, we constructed a waveguide system that generates CPMs, designed by using a commercial microwave simulation program (CST Microwave StudioTM) which is based on the finite integration time-domain algorithm, with the appropriate value of the effective plasma conductivity which is measured using the measurement system. The pictures of the rotating plasma discharges were taken using a digital camera.
