Extension of ceramic metal halide technology to lower wattages

The X-ray photograph in figure 1 above shows the new hollow plug arctube design and figure 2 a standard arctube design, both after 5000 hours; wall corrosion has clearly been significantly reduced in the hollow plug arctube.
