ABSTRACT

Significant increase in the laser output power on the 1.1523 gm line in 3He-Ne gas mixture is observed. The dependence of the output power on the discharge current in 3He-Ne and 4He-Ne gas mixtures has similar behavior and is shown in Fig. 1. The threshold currents for lasing are almost the same in both gas mixtures. By the discharge current increase the difference between the curves rises, reaching values up to 4 times higher in 3He-Ne gas mixture. At He and Ne pressures below and above the optimal, the output power on the Net 1.1523 pm line is 2 - 3 times higher in 3He-Ne gas mixture.
