ABSTRACT
To improve the road lighting installation, it is advisable to pay a great attention to the development of reflectors. A new methodology is introduced to optimize the photometry which is used as a basis in the development of a reflector. In this new optimization, the intensity distribution is represented by a Fourier's series function of the azimuth angle C for each elevation angle y . The point of measurement i is positioned relatively to the luminaire j by the two angles yy (the angle of incidence) and Cy .
