ABSTRACT

The main goal of this work was to simulate the amplification of an harmonic beam in a solid target plasma, and to check the effect of the refraction, so of the density profile of the plasma. In a solid target the electron density is much higher than for gas, for example Optical Field Ionisation (OFI) XRL and thus the expected output energy is higher than the output energy obtained with OFI XRL (P. Zeitoun et al., this Proceedings). However, the refraction becomes also more significant, so it is important to numerically investigate such system.
