ABSTRACT
High performance glass-fibre composite materials, until recently almost exclusively used in the aerospace or car industries, are now also applied in the construction industry. The choice of different kinds of fibres, such as carbon, glass or aramid fibres, and of different kinds of resin, e.g. polyester, epoxy or vinyl, offers the possibility of producing fibre composite materials for a large range of applications.
