ABSTRACT
It is necessary to follow correct installation procedures if there is to be confidence in the results. The majority of published work on pressuremeters has concentrated on the analyses of tests, comparison of the results with those from other tests and use of the results in design. However, the results are, in part, dependent on the installation techniques used. A correct installation procedure ensures minimum or repeatable disturbance.
