Blogging is an increasingly popular mode of self-expression that started via the Internet in the late 1990s. The term blogging is an abbreviation for “Web logging,” and refers to the practice of posting brief entries to the Internet about topics of interest or concern to the author. Postings range from personal diaristic entries to pronouncements about controversial issues or reports of news events. Styles range from casual and personal to more formal and journalistic.
