ABSTRACT

Internet advertising can be described as boon or bane, depending on one’s viewpoint. Because many Web sites and free services exist only due to funds garnered from advertising, it follows that without these ads the Net would lose many entertaining and informational sites. In addition, Web resources would have to resort to subscription charges and other fees in order to exist. The idea of free access is one of the most treasured attributes of the Internet, so advertising is likely here to stay.
