ABSTRACT
The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) is a multidisciplinary, international group of medical specialists with interest in anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, and related disorders. The mission of the organization is to promote excellence in research, treatment, and prevention of eating disorders and to disseminate information regarding these to the general public. AED is also an advocate on behalf of patients, the public, and eating-disorder professionals.
