ABSTRACT
The clinical microsystem provides a conceptual and practical framework for thinking about the organi zation and delivery of care. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a detailed description of the role that human factors play in shaping microsys tems and how they affect the microsystem's ability to provide high quality and safe care.
