ABSTRACT
Surface charge plays an important role in translocation and aggregation processes. Knowledge of the quantitative distribution of the charge and potential of solid particles is an important prerequisite for a better understanding of stability and rheology and of further properties of solid-liquid dispersions. This chapter summarizes the most important properties of the solid/liquid interface with respect to electrical aspects.
