The reason is very simple, when research is done on common factors for approved food colorants, colorants for drugs (whose coloration is deemed necessary) and the usually colored cosmetics during their manufacture, and when coloration is looked at in the overall context of product development. It is therefore recommended to read through all of this chapter, and not look only at a single area of application.
