Some of the most interesting and important advances in science occur at the houndarics hctwccn suhdisciplincs; the area of supramolccular photochemistry itself is an example. Technological advances and scicntillc expertise in different areas-synthetic chemistry, molecular modeling, and photophysics in the case of supramolccular photochemistry-arc a prerequisite for good experimental design and rational interpretation of results.
