ABSTRACT
The chemical processing industry is global in scope. Many industrialized nations have a well-developed chemical industry and conduct foreign trade in chemicals, chemical raw materials, and chemical products. A firm in a domestic CPI can regard all foreign nations as potential markets for manufactured chemicals, for technology licensing, and for plant investment. In return, the United States is a market for flow of goods, technology, labor, and investment from foreign countries.
