ABSTRACT
The terminology Dirichlet, Neumann, and mixed, when applied to boundary conditions, is borrowed from partial differential equation (PDE) terminology. The procedures for implementing these three types of boundary conditions are the same for ODEs and PDEs. Consequently, the same terminology is used to identify these three types of boundary conditions for both ODEs and PDEs.
