ABSTRACT
Enantioselective hydrogenation of tiglic and angelic acids has been achieved using an R(+)- or S(-)-2,2'-diamino-1,1'-binaphthalene modified Pd/carbon catalyst. Enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl tiglate was unsuccessful due to unfavourable steric interactions.
