ABSTRACT
Phosphinito amino acids are readily prepared from serine and tyrosine derivatives and chlorodiphenylphosphine. These new ligands were fully characterized and readily form metal complexes with Pt(ll) precursors. The Xray structure of cis-{Boc-Ser(OPPh2)-0Me}PtCh is reported, exhibiting Hbonding between the phosphino amino acid ligands. The complex exhibits a low reactivity towards the hydrosilation of styrene.
