ABSTRACT
Arsenic trioxide or pentoxide is in vapor form because of the high gas temperatures and must be condensed by gas cooling so that it can be removed in
fabric filters. Collection and treatment of vent gases by alkali scrubbing may be required when sulfur dioxide is not being recovered in an acid plant.
