ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter highlights some critical issues that development scholars and experts should consider as the main agenda for the twenty-first century. Such an agenda must underscore the need for a greater understanding of the structure and dynamics of the institutional choices and management systems that enable development policy makers to go beyond a mere description of the multifaceted development issues and pursue a deeper exploration of the interrelationships among development dimensions and the impacts of development policies on individuals' lives and the society at large.
