ABSTRACT
Truthfulness makes complex strategic alliances possible. Success is rarely a reflection of the contract that defines the terms of the joint effort, since it is impossible to monitor and provide controls for every detail. Successful alliances are characterized as honest relationships with commitment from all partners, and confidence that each partner will perform as represented.
