ABSTRACT
Electrochemical sensors must be calibrated before use. Careful attention must be paid to the preparation of the solutions necessary for calibration in terms of concentration, ionic strength, and pH [1,2]. The ionic strength and the pH of the samples from where the analyte will be determined must be adjusted to the same values as the solutions used for calibration. Therefore, all the solutions must be buffered and a strong electrolyte added.
