ABSTRACT
Risk characterization is the process of estiInating the incidence of a healtll effect under tlle various conditions of hUlnan or aniInal exposure described in the exposure asseSSlnent. It is perforlned by conlbining tlle exposure (see Chapter 12) and dose response (see Chapter 11) assessnlents. The SUllUnary effects of the uncertainties in tlle preceding steps should also be described in tins step.
