ABSTRACT

In this paper the characteristics of acoustics emission (AE) in steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), such as: 1. Kaiser effect in SFRC; 2. The AE characteristics of initial crack in SFRC on flexural test; 3. The difference and the analogy between the AE parameters of concrete matrix cracking and that of steel fibre pulling out; 4. The distribution law of AE parameters in SFRC have been studied. Based on above research the formation and propagation of cracks in SFRC has been analyzed and the concept of split of SFRC has been discussed.
