This repor t describe s th e blastin g demolitio n o f a six-story reinforced concret e apartmen t buildin g carrie d ou t i n Takashima-machi, Nishisonogi-gun, Nagasak i Prefecture , Japa n o n 12t h October, 1988 , and form s Par t 3 of th e ful l repor t o f this title. Th e work wa s implemented usin g 153.8k g o f explosives an d a total o f 1,19 4 electri c detonators. 8 stages o f DS delay blastin g wa s used . Describe d i n this part of th e paper ar e the explosive s an d blastin g machin e used , th e blasting an d demolition plan , the design o f charges fo r each location , the layou t o f charges and th e charging operatio n a t each location , the timing o f delay blasting , an d th e wiring circuits , etc. I n addition, th e amounts of vibration, noise , and fl y roc k generate d ar e described base d o n measurements mad e at the site.
