ABSTRACT

The temperature-stress testing machine is an universal testing machine for measuring the thermal stresses of young concrete also under any restraining conditions. Therefore conditions can be simulated like they occur in real concrete structures. The development of the Young's modulus can be measured from the beginning of hardening. This makes it possible to calculate the development of the elastic stresses, so that the influence of the relaxation and of non-themal effects on the stress development can be estimated.
