Before the above-mentioned technological measures can be taken the parameters which influence the restraint stresses must be studied. It must be taken into account, that the E-modulus and relaxation change continuously over a wide range especially at this early age. For this reason a calculation of thermal stresses is very difficult with only low accuracy. Also it is not possible to determine restraint stresses in s i t u directly by measuring the deformation, because these stresses are caused by the inhibition of deformations. If nevertheless deformations are measured, they are not restrained and so cannot result in restraint stresses.
