ABSTRACT
I n the p r e v i o u s chapter, i t was s h o w n that plastic d e f o r m a t i o n capacity is a key parameter i n the assessment of the u l t i m a t e l o a d - c a r r y i n g capacity of steel m o m e n t - r e s i s t i n g frames subjected to seismic h o r i z o n t a l forces.
