for comparison, in rectangular hollow sections. Two series of four joints listed in Table 1, consisting of three multiplanar DX-joints and 1 uniplanar X-joint are numerically and experimentaly investigated. The first series of joints(Xl,DX2,DX3 and DX4) are loaded in the in-plane braces by axial load and the second series(X5,DX6,DX7 and DX8) by in-plane bending. The geometrical parameters are all the same.
