ABSTRACT
This test is applicable to all types of prestressing steel, wires, bars and strands, but not to passive reinforcement. It is independent of those tests for checking the geometric properties of a delivery with those stated by the manufacturer; it also differs from bond tests with the object of determining the action of the steel in concrete or mortar, in tension or in bending and the distribution of cracks in concrete members in tension or in bending.
