ABSTRACT

Misunderstandings may also arise in connection with performance verification. This is due to the fact that some existing standards are confined to a restricted number of tests under more or less idealized conditions (for instance, measuring accuracy of testing machines under exactly centered axial load). In practice, however, conditions may very often be less favorable so that the expected performance is not obtained. Therefore in article 4 the experimental techniques of unusual performance verification tests (including the necessary equipment) are described.
