2. Coordinate system

It will be observed that in twin-space testing machines two coordinate systems may be used, one (xe, ye, ze) for the extension and one (xc, yc, zc) for the compression space (fig. 3).

For strongfloors and bedplates the coordinate system is described by the following rules ( fig. 5).
