ABSTRACT

This recommendation covers the procedure for the determination of the density and compressive strength of autoclaved aerated concrete in the dry state. The density is the ratio between the mass of the material after drying at 105°C and its volume. It is, however, not permissible to test the compressive strength on a specimen that has been dried at this temperature since, in some cases, an error may be introduced. Thus the initial drying takes place at a lower temperature.
