ABSTRACT

It is generally expressed as a percentage of the initial load over a given period and for a given temperature.

2.1. Unless otherwise agreed between purchaser and supplier, the relaxation should be determined from an initial load which is a certain percentage value of the breaking load Pi=0.6 R, 0.7 R and 0.8 R where R is the breaking load of the adjacent test specimens. For certification the three values of initial load may be required, but usually in routine quality control the relaxation will be determined at only one value.
