ABSTRACT
The side of each edge towards the Joint reproduces the shape of the vertical edge of a large panel with grooves, the flanges designed to close the joint and the projecting bars. On the side away from the joint the edge is designed to be fastened in the testing device, so the reinforcing is quite dense in this area and cross hollows provide holes for fixing devices. On the face against the joint the concrete must have the same strength and mix as that in the panels. On the fastening side the cement proportioning in the concrete could be increased if necessary so as to improve strength and avoid premature cracking near the fixing points.
