ABSTRACT
Strongfloors, bending beams, and other specification sets used for bending tests are, at least as a general rule, sufficiently stiff for practical use so that no verification is necessary. This is due to the fact that a large majority of bending specimens undergo much higher deformations than the mentioned specification sets and, consequently, the elastic energy stored in the system is small in comparison with that stored in the specimen.
