ABSTRACT
In the highway engineering field hot-mix bituminous materials dominate the UK construction market both for new projects and also in the maintenance of the established network of roads. Over the years a considerable depth and breath of experience has been accumulated with these hot-mix materials together with
their tolerance to climatic effects at the time of placement and environmental influences during their service life.
