ABSTRACT

Abstract This study is a trial to investigate the aseismatic behavior of structural walls reinforced by CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) grids. Thirteen structural wall specimens were provided. Seven specimens were tested under reversed cyclic shearing forces and a constant compressive force simultaneously. The other six specimens have been exposed at the coast in Okinawa since December 1992. The elasto-plastic behavior of structural walls was affected by the material properties of reinforcement.
