ABSTRACT
This Part presents the current state of development of techniques for use in silo experiments. The work described has been developed by recent or current research programmes and describes techniques for determination of many of the states of the stored granular material (pressure, moisture content, density and so on) as well as the application of existing techniques to particular silo problems in novel ways.
