ABSTRACT
A nuclear power station is centred around a reactor normally fuelled by uranium Primary containment is necessary around the reactor in the form of a pressure vessel and biological shield. Although of interest to engineers, this paper is not primarily concerned with that type of containment, rather it is concerned with the containment of waste products arising from reactor spent fuel and from fuel reprocessing.
