ABSTRACT
In May, 1989, we applied the overlay method, utilizing this material, to the concrete slabs in container platform of which cracking ratio was 75%, and have made an investigation of the road surface condition and its secular change by means of FWD. No reflection crack has been caused so far. Obviously, SAMI has prevented the transmission of the movement of the damaged concrete to the overlay. It is already more than five years since the construction of the overlay with SAMI in this site; however, no crack has been found on the surface of the pavement and its high performance has been maintained. This proves that this method is effective for repairing the pavement having joints or reflective cracking on its surface. Keywords: SAMI, concrete slab, reflective cracking, RC sheets, FWD.
